13.3. Check of pressure of air and condition of tires

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check air pressure in tires, at least, once a month and before each distant trip, at the same time it is worth to remember to measure pressure of air and in a spare wheel.
2. The lowered or elevated pressure of air in tires reduces the term of their service and worsens road performance of the car.
3. Too low pressure of air in tires leads to the increased fuel consumption.
4. Install only radial tires on cars.
5. In radial tires of thread of a cord are located on the smallest way between tire boards. The Brekerny belt surrounds a thin and elastic framework and provides stability of the tire.
6. In tubeless tires the camera is replaced with the vulcanized inside layer with high air tightness. The board of such tire has to be established on a disk rim reliably and hermetically. Lack of the camera in the tire reduces the mass of a wheel and simplifies its installation on a disk rim.
7. Air pressure in tires should be checked always at cold tires. At the elevated pressure of air in heated tires it is not necessary to let out the air from the tire. At considerable change of loading of the car it is necessary to change respectively air pressure in tires.
8. For measurement of pressure in tires use the manometer.
9. Check that there is no leak of air from the gate. Unscrew a cap from the gate. Apply a little saliva on the gate. At formation of a bubble screw up the gate a reverse side of a cap.

Prevention

For tightening of the gate to use only a metal cap.


10. Repeatedly check the gate. At further education of bubbles and at impossibility of a dovorachivaniye of the gate, replace the gate. Surely screw a cap.

11. Check depth of the drawing of a protector.

Depth of the drawing of a protector:
Standard tires: 1,6 mm
Winter tires: 50% of a protector

12. The tire has to be replaced in the presence of deep cracks, damages, deformation or spotty wear. Pay attention to any signs of uneven wear of tires.
